USE OF COURTS

  • The tennis courts are for the use of full members, recreational associates, tennis associates, and their guests. Summer associates may use the courts during the summer season only.

  • A member must accompany all guests. A non-member resident may play on Wicks Creek courts as a member of a visiting team during any league play.

  • Players must observe court etiquette and maintenance:

    • Wear proper tennis shoes and attire.

    • Dispose of your trash.

    • At all times the last one out will lock all gates.

    • If the lights are on, the last one out will turn them off.

    • No toys, bicycles, skates, tricycles, or skateboards on courts.

    • No food. Drinks must be in shatterproof containers.

    • No smoking.

    • No profanity.

  • Children not old enough to follow the Wicks Creek Tennis Rules, are not permitted within the enclosed tennis court area unless accompanied by an adult who is responsible for the child’s behavior.

FOR RESERVED PLAY

  1. Reservations should be made through www.holdmycourt.com/reserve2/wctennis

  2. Courts may be reserved no more than two days in advance. (Example: At 12:01 A.M. on Friday any member may reserve time for play anytime on Sunday.)

  3. Reservations must be on the hour or half-hour

  4. All court time must be signed up for before play begins.

  5. Members may reserve no more than 1 1/2 hours continuous time.

  6. Play shall take place on the court reserved.

  7. Reserved court time shall be forfeited after a ten-minute wait.

  8. Remove as soon as possible any reservation for unwanted court time.

  9. When school is not in session players under 16 cannot reserve in advance courts before 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, Sunday, and holidays or after 5:30P.M. Monday - Friday. During these times they may play on any unreserved court by signing up at www.reservemycourt.com in accordance with rule 3, 4, 5 and 6.

  10. Formation of a new Wicks Creek ALTA/USTA team requires prior approval from the Tennis Committee.

FOR ALL LEAGUE PLAY

  • Wicks Creek ALTA/USTA teams may have only three players on the rosters that are not full members or children of members. In addition each non-member player must pay $25 per ALTA/USTA/T-2 season. Each team captain will give the Tennis Committee Chairman the fees prior to the first ALTA/USTA/T-2 match of the season.

  • If there are less than two Wicks Creek teams for an ALTA/USTA league and a team needs more than three non-members to fill a roster, they may do so with prior approval of the Tennis Committee chair.

  • In the event there are more than two Wicks Creek teams forming for an ALTA/USTA league, the teams with the fewest non-members will have precedence. If teams have identical numbers of non-members, lots will be drawn by the Tennis Committee chair to determine precedence. If the numbers of non-members does not change in subsequent seasons, the Tennis Committee will rotate precedence among the teams.

  • All Wicks Creek ALTA/USTA team captains must submit an ALTA/USTA team roster to the Tennis Committee Chairman after the ALTA/USTA roster deadline and prior to the first match. All K-SWISS/T-2 players must submit their name(s) to the Tennis Committee Chairman prior to start of league play.

  • All Wicks Creek ALTA/USTA teams will receive, exempt from rule 2 and 5,reserved time for all scheduled home matches according to the schedule established by ALTA/USTA. Reservations for courts to make up rained out ALTA/USTA home matches are exempt from rule 2 and 5. All play ahead matches are exempt from rule 4. K-SWISS/T-2 players may reserve one court for 2 hours up to 7 days prior for match play only. All other court reservations must comply with rules  and 4.

  • Each ALTA/USTA team may reserve, once a week and exempt from rule 2, two courts for 1 1/2 hours or one court for 3 hours.

  • The Tennis Committee will post all team schedules on the tennis board prior to the start of the season.

  • The Tennis Committee Chairman will post an announcement of planned ALTA/USTA teams two weeks prior to ALTA/USTA's published roster submission deadline.

  • All ALTA/USTA teams are open to all members unless a member's league rating will cause that team to move up a division in USTA or more than 2 levels in ALTA.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS/TENNIS COMMITTEE

  • The Board of Directors and/or the Tennis Committee shall have the authority to reserve the courts for Association sponsored activities.

  • The Board of Directors shall have the authority to interpret the rules,resolve disputes involving the rules, determine abuse of the rules, and impose sanctions for violations of the rules.

  • The Tennis Committee chair shall have the authority to submit for Board approval additional rules or necessary changes to the rules.

  • The Tennis Committee shall be comprised of the chair person and a representative from each team during each season. The representative must be a Wicks Creek Homeowners Association member.

  • Any question concerning these rules and regulations may be directed to Tennis Committee chair for review.

  • The names of the Tennis Committee members will be posted on the tennis board prior to the start of each ALTA/USTA season.
